3Sigma offers Dilute Phase Pneumatic Conveying Systems. This type of Pneumatic Conveying system is usually used for conveying non-abrasive materials. Dilute Phase Systems are also used when high material velocities and product degradation are not factors in the application.
The high velocity, low-pressure system conveys the material in suspension of the gas stream. This type of pressure vacuum conveying system is the most common pneumatic conveying system.
Dilute Phase Conveying systems have usually have a positive displacement blower package and a rotary airlock or venturi eductor. Material is metered into the air stream by the airlock or eductor . The material is kept in suspension and conveyed with a much higher air to material ratio.
Pressure Operated Dilute Phase Conveying Systems
Pressure operation uses centrifugal fans or PD blowers to send materials across the pipeline. Once it reaches the destination, air and material are separated by a filter or other system.
Vacuum Operated Dilute Phase Conveying Systems
Vacuum operation uses centrifugal exhausters or PD blowers providing up to 50% vacuum to convey the materials across the pipeline. Once it reaches the destination, air and material are separated with a filter or cyclone
